TEAM MARTIN, CANADA'S MEN'S CURLING TEAM FOR 2010 OLYMPICS VISITS MONDETTA

Jan 21, 2010
Video compiled and provided by the Canadian Curling Association

It was an exciting day at the Mondetta World Head Office on Wednesday as Team Kevin Martin - Canada Men's Curling Team for the 2010 Olympics dropped in for an in-depth fit session. Mondetta fit specialists and designers both fussed over the fit details that will allow the uniforms to perform and look their best on the world stage. As part of the event, Jon Hendricks from CTV News Winnipeg was here to capture some of the highlights for a news story which aired yesterday evening, while the national news wire also picked up the story and aired it in Vancouver and Calgary. Among the highlights, CTV touched on a brief history of Mondetta, our manufacturing & design process, some highlights with the design team and how our curling sponsorship is creating a great resurgence of media attention for the brand – resulting in a renewed awareness to the public.  Kevin Martin praised Mondetta's expertise and was quoted saying how the design of the curling uniforms has "changed for the better" since Mondetta has been supplying them ... and because of the great response, Mondetta is now selling the same gear to the public.

For the first time you can wear what our champions wear on the ice!

The national curling apparel is now available for online purchase at the Canadian Curling Association's website www.seasonofchampions.ca.

FOR THE FIRST TIME, WEAR WHAT THE CHAMPIONS WEAR

November 16, 2010

It will be an historic and exhilarating moment when Canada’s best curlers step on the ice next February in Vancouver.
For the first time, Canadian curling fans will be able to purchase the same gear that Canada’s National teams will wear in competition. The same design, the same colors, the actual performance fabrics – right down to the last detail – what you
see on the ice, is what you can have on your back.

This limited edition merchandise will be available while supplies last in the souvenir stores at all Season of Champions events during the coming season.

CURLING SPONSORSHIP - MONDETTA & THE CCA

Mondetta established itself in the sport of curling during the 2006 Winter Olympics, when the National Canadian team was splashed all over the world media hoisting the gold medal. It was a glorious moment for Canadian curling, our athletes played phenomenally and they never looked better on the world stage, added proof that Mondetta’s approach to curling gear was changing the look of the sport.

The look for this year’s uniforms is dynamic and stylish, resulting in a bright & streamlined look that successfully combines
colour contrasts with sophisticated detailing.  The new uniforms offer all the technical performance benefits the athletes
require in their trademark regional colour story.

Once again, the Mondetta team was able to draw from the respected expertise of the Mondetta Performance Gear Lab
division for inspiration and technology. The objective for the design team was to achieve the perfect balance of comfort
and performance.

Mondetta continues to be a proud uniform sponsor with the Canadian Curling Association until the 2010 Winter Games.
