The 2008 Tim Horton's Brier will be staged in Mondetta’s own home town of Winnipeg, the championship will be held March 8-16, 2008 at the MTS Centre in downtown Winnipeg. Mondetta-designed uniforms will oufit the athletes from all ten provinces and territories as they compete for The Canadian Men’s Curling title.

The newly-designed Brier uniforms are further proof that Mondetta’s approach to curling gear is changing the look of the sport. Mondetta established itself in the sport of curling during the 2006 Winter Olympics, when the National Canadian team was splashed all over the world media hoisting the gold medal. It was a glorious moment for Canadian curling, our athletes played phenomenally and they never looked better on the world stage.

The look for this year’s Brier uniforms offers a natural evolution of the 2006 Gold triumph. The new look is dynamic, yet stylish, resulting in a clean bold image that succesfully combines racy ergonomic striping with sophisticated detailing. The new uniforms offer all the technical performance benefits the athletes require in the trademark Canadian colour story.

Once again, the Mondetta team was able to draw from the respected expertise of the Mondetta Performance Gear Lab division for inspiration and technology. The objective for the design team was to achieve the right amount of glitz and performance. The end result is an exciting balance of aesthetics and performance features, usually expected for higher profile sports.

As expected, there will be extensive television coverage of this event. TSN will be televising the round robin draws and Page Playoffs while CBC-TV will carry the semi-final and final. The 2008 champion will then represent Canada at the World Men’s Curling Championship in Grand Forks, North Dakota at the Ralph Engelstad Arena, April 5-13. Mondetta will be outfitting our national team athletes for this great event as well.

Mondetta is a proud uniform sponsor with the Canadian Curling Association until the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Winter Games.
